Born and raised in Brighton, Simon David Eden is an alumnus of the Royal College of Art (MA Distinction Film). Simon’s writing career includes script commissions from Hollywood studios Warner Bros and Paramount Pictures and numerous UK television companies. His script for TV medical series Bliss – All Fall Down (Carlton TV) won Best Feature Length Drama at the Quebec International Film Festival. He is also a lyricist PS: Surrealism; The Road Will Rise and a playwright The Albatross 3rd & Main (pub Samuel French); The Little Match Girl Book Musical; When the Saintz Go Marching In.

 His debut fantasy novel AnimalianThe Savage Kingdom (Simon & Schuster UK) has been published in translation in Brazil, Italy and Poland.

Simon lives in Sussex and London and is frequently covered in cat hairs.
