We are beyond thrilled to be kicking of 2022 with the fantastic news that HQ have snapped up two more wonderful novels from Anna Bell. Editorial director Emily Kitchen and editor Melanie Hayes acquired world English rights from Hannah Ferguson. The first title, Note to Selfis a moving love story about second chances. Publication is set for June 2022..

Anna said: “I’m absolutely over the moon to be working with Emily, Mel and the rest of the team at HQ again. Note to Self is a different direction for me, full of emotion and nostalgia, and I’ve loved how enthusiastic and supportive the team have been of it from the get-go. I can’t wait for it to be in the hands of readers.”

Emily added: “I’m delighted to be working with Anna on two new gorgeous novels that are so heartfelt, funny and uplifting. Note to Self combines a fantastic premise with warm, hugely relatable characters who readers are going to love. Everyone at HQ is very excited to continue our publishing journey with Anna.”

Melanie said: “Anna delivers an emotionally layered and highly romantic novel in Note to Self which had my heart brimming with such joy and warmth at one moment, only for the next to be drying away tears of laughter and sadness. Now more than ever, I think we could learn a lesson or two from the note to self challenges a younger Edie has set her future self. Anna is a brilliant writer who creates these relatable and entertaining characters you can’t help but fall in love with. I’m thrilled to be working with Anna on her next two books with HQ and we can’t wait to share them with readers.”

It’s never too late to follow your heart.

One summer’s day seventeen years ago Edie and Joel first meet and there’s an instant connection. But they’re just friends – or are they? Edie can’t help but wish for more, yet just as she’s ready to take that next step, one night changes everything.

Edie’s moved on since getting her heart broken all those years ago. So the last thing she expects to receive on her thirty-fifth birthday is an email… from her eighteen-year-old self. As more emails arrive, she starts to remember what – or rather who – she left behind.

Following the advice of her younger self, Edie heads back to the place where it all began and finds her path unexpectedly crossing with Joel’s once more. Will they finally get their chance at love? Or are some things better left in the past?

Anna Bell lives in the South of France with her young family and energetic labrador. When not chained to her laptop, Anna can be found basking in the sun in the summer, heading to the ski slopes in the winter (to drink hot chocolate and watch – she can’t ski) or having a sneaky treat from the patisserie – all year round!

She is the author of nine romantic novels, including The Man I Didn’t Marry and We Just Clicked.
