What I like to read
To get a sense of what I enjoy reading and being introduced to, I will list some of my favourites! The Secret History by Donna Tartt and If We Were Villains by M.L. Rio include some of my favourite mysteries and settings, and well as some of my favourite unlikeable characters! Little Women by Louisa May Alcott is a classic that I adore, as is Northanger Abbey by Jane Austen. Belonging by Umi Sinha and Pachinko by Min Jin Lee are multigenerational novels that are wonderfully crafted and provide a fantastic reading experience. A favourite fantasy series that I read as a teenager is the Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini, and this still stands out to me as a fantastic fantasy series. Taylor Jenkins Reids tends to write books that I enjoy, especially Daisy Jones and The Six, which is unlike anything I have ever read. The Glass Castle, a memoir by Jeanette Walls is one that I often think back to. The Hobbit by Tolkien is another classic that was a joy to read and has remained with me since reading it years ago. Ultimately, I would say I enjoy a variety of literature and am generally open to reading new things!
