Dan Davis has appeared on Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch to talk about his new book Self Defence: A Myth-busting Guide to Immune Health.
Described by Bill Bryson as ‘utterly absorbing’, Self Defence examines the effects of stress, diet, age, exercise, the microbiome and more on the immune system, punctures the key myths, and equips us to make informed choices for ourselves.
Self Defence was published on the 5th June by Bodley Head.
Ahead of publication, Dan was featured on The Economist’s podcast, speaking with Alok Jha, The Economist’s science and technology editor. The episode can be listened to here.
On Dr Alex George’s podcast, Stompcast, Dan was interviewed for 3 episodes. In these episodes, Dan unpacked the endless myths we hear about our immune health, discussed the different factors that impact our immune health, and spoke about the importance of improving the public’s understanding of the immune system.
The How To Academy also had Dan on to talk about Self Defence and separating the bogus claims from the useful advice. This episode can be listened to now.
Described by Alice Roberts as ‘the best book on immune health I have ever read’, Self Defence can be ordered here.
